Tournament Rules

ALL-STAR BASEBALL TOURNAMENT RULES

The official rules of the tournament shall be the “2019 Dizzy Dean Baseball Rules”. However, this is not a Dizzy Dean “Sanctioned” Tournament and exceptions to rules are modified as follows:

      • $5.00 PER PERSON

    • No buckets or stools allowed out of the dugouts
  • Types of Teams Allowed in Allstar Baseball Tournaments
    • We allow any type of Rec or All-Star team to participate in these tournaments. Teams do not have to be a “sanctioned” all-star team to participate. As an example, we allow teams that are “thrown” together Rec teams that are basically just looking to play a couple of tournaments. In most cases, we do require that all of the players did play a rec ball schedule at their park to be eligible to play in these tournaments. Some teams are made up of players from multiple surrounding parks. This is allowed when parks play interleague play during their rec season with local parks, because they don’t have enough kids to play a league schedule within their own park.In many cases, all-star teams will go participate in “travel” tournaments. This does not make them a travel team, and does not make them ineligible to play in our tournaments. All teams must go through the tournament director to sign up for these tournaments and is always left up to the tournament director to decide if a team is eligible or not.
  • Tournament Rules
    • Pool Play Format:
      • Each team will play 2 games of pool play (weather permitting)

      • Pool play games may end in a tie if time has expired and/or all innings have been completed.
      • Home team is determined by a coin toss
    • Bracket Play:

No changes will be made after both teams have signed unless approved by tournament director.
